General cooperative „Zelena mreža“ was founded on the basis of social entrepreneurship with an aim to improve and advance small producers, who are also beneficiaries of program activities that Association „Snaga žene“ implements.

The founder of the Cooperative is Association „Snaga žene“.

Mission of the Cooperative is to produce, sell and promote high quality products based on medicinal herbs, fruits and vegetables, trying to satisfy needs of consumers.

Within its activities, in addition to developing its own line of products, the Cooperative also promotes and sells products of cooperative producers, creates sales markets and offers education and counseling to its beneficiaries.

At the same time the Cooperative will build the consumer’s confidence, invest in producers – beneficiaries and will take care of their satisfaction.

Members of the „Zelena mreža“ are beneficiaries of Association „Snaga žene“ – victims of war from the category of returnees to the Srebrenica region, as well as civilian victims of war from Tuzla Canton and Brčko District.

These are highly traumatized categories of people who, despite their trauma, were motivated enough and who were empowered through psychosocial support to be able to get involved in occupational therapy of cultivation of flowers and medicinal and aromatic herbs. Seven years after, they all are serious producers of above mentioned cultures.

“Zelena mreža” BiH invites other interested actors in the field of medicinal and aromatic herbs in the area of Bosnia and Herzegovina – producers, processors, collectors, associations, cooperatives, trades and companies to join us so we could mutually contribute to the strengthening of this sector.
